Our mission
It is still too difficult for too many people to find high-quality physiotherapy services. People seeking physiotherapy know this. Those who recommend physiotherapy know this. Physiotherapists know this too. The desire to solve this challenge, which will likely intensify due to demographic winter and workforce scarcity, motivated us to launch Bwizer Health. We summarize this purpose in one sentence:

Service as a software
Bwizer Health is a traditional clinical unit, but also a technology startup. It is a clinical unit that builds technology and a technology company that delivers clinical services. It is an example of service as a software, scaling clinical care through AI-based solutions while using its own physical clinical reality as a testing and insight environment.

In a context where some technology companies aim to bypass traditional clinical services, we follow a different model: our solutions are made available to others, namely through our learning center and our technology, so we can impact more lives faster.
Our history
Bwizer Health was not born in a vacuum. It comes from Bwizer's background in health education and from the ambition to take its mission further. While Bwizer focuses on healthcare professionals, Bwizer Health is centered on patients and on directly impacting their health. It is built on over 17 years of experience: learning from the best, knowing the best, understanding what works and what is missing, listening to those on the ground, and strengthening the best approaches. Years of learning, reflection, successes, and mistakes now take a new form in Bwizer Health.
Team
Our team combines expertise in physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates, engineering, science, and management. Our physiotherapists are members of the Portuguese Physiotherapists' Association and hold professional liability insurance. All physiotherapists working with Pilates are certified in Matwork and Equipment Pilates by APPI.
Hugo Belchior
Founder & CEO
With a basic background in physiotherapy (2002), she soon pursued a career in management with an MBA from Porto Business School (2004) and business experience at Optimus/SonaeCom. Since the end of 2006, she has dedicated herself entirely to her own projects, having launched several companies. Bwizer Health is probably her most ambitious project.
Francisca Gomes
Technical Director
A graduate in physiotherapy (2010), she was the first official Portuguese instructor for APPI (2012), and is now a Master Trainer, having trained thousands of professionals in Portugal and abroad. With empathetic and effective leadership, she is one of the cornerstones of Bwizer Health in clinical practice and in managing the team of physiotherapists.
Adérito Seixas
Scientific Director
A graduate (2002), master's (2009) and doctoral candidate in physiotherapy, he has a solid academic career, extensive teaching activity and regular scientific production. He is an editor and reviewer for international scientific journals and participates in scientific committees in Portugal and abroad, linking physiotherapy, science and technology applied to health.
Tiago Godinho
Technology and Innovation Director
Tiago Godinho holds a Master's degree in Biological Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and is a trainer, professor, and consultant in the areas of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence. With over ten years of experience in a business context, he has developed and monitored projects for the adoption of emerging technologies, combining team training, development of digital solutions, and strategic consulting.
